Villa Sciara is spread over three elevations. Morgantina is an ancient Roman and Greek city, an archaeological site in the territory of Aidone, an Italian town in the province of Enna in Sicily. The city was brought to light in the fall of 1955 by the archaeological mission of the University of Princeton.  The most easily accessible area belongs to the period that goes back from the middle of the V to the end of the 1st century BC, the period of the greatest splendor of the city.

From this site come very important archaeological finds such as the Venus of Morgantina, currently housed at the archaeological museum of Aidone which came on March 17, 2011 after the dispute between Italy and the United States where it was exhibited at the Getty Museum in Malibu, and the Treasure of Morgantina, also returned.

The farmhouse, originally built in 1911, has been tastefully restored boasting all the comforts one needs to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The fine furniture inside the property has all been handmade by master craftsmen. For nature lovers, excursions through the Alcantara Gorge, and right up to the mouth of the river, can be arranged, by foot or on horseback.
